Dr Sylvain Kalonji

Dr Sylvain Kalonji graduated from medical school with an MBChB from the University of Kinshasa in 2006 and obtained his Diploma in Obstetrics through the College of Medicine of South Africa in 2012. After this, he completed further training and received an Essential Steps in Managing Obstetrical Emergencies (ESMOE) certificate in 2013.
Shortly after receiving his Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the University of Witwatersrand, Dr Kalonji became a Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology through the College of Medicine of South Africa from 2021. That same year, Dr Kalonji also obtained his certificate in laparoscopy through the GESEA (the Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgical Education and Assessment programme) organised by the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy hence his high interest in this field.
